OBSEQUIO (20’)
Barcelona (Catalonia), Spain
Created & Performed by: Johann Pérez Viera [Compañía La Cerda]
Music: Ninos du Brasil, Johann Sebastian Bach, Orquesta Serenata Tropical Dante, de Thomas Adès
Costumes: Johann Pérez Viera
“Drawing inspiration from bygone eras, when movement was offered as a tribute to honour kings and queens, ‘Obsequio’ was conceived as a gift to delight the audience—the performer’s true royalty—through the offering of a dance. The piece is rooted in the act of revealing oneself and in the shared experience of witnessing movement as a form of connection and dialogue.
Through the whole body, especially through the arms and hands, the solo embraces the vulnerability inherent in the act of facing oneself, offering a journey of pure dance, the poetry of the body and music. ‘Obsequio’ becomes a necessary gesture of affirmation—an invitation to embrace individuality, to reveal oneself and to enjoy the body fully and without reservation.”

NAKAMA (15’)
Barcelona, Spain
Created by: Miguel Alvarez & Javier Pelaez (Tulio) [The Concept]
Performed by: Miguel Alvarez, Javier Pelaez (Tulio), Glenda Sánchez, Enmanuel Sardiñas
Music: Alexis de la O Joya «Nakama», Violín / Violin: Ana Fernández
“Nakama is a Japanese term that refers to a friend who is considered family, a comrade who stands by you no matter how difficult the journey may be. The piece immerses the audience in the concept of friendship and collaboration, making them part of the journey and the story being told. It is a piece designed to be performed on the street, brimming with virtuosity, accessible and featuring a movement aesthetic that blends urban and contemporary dance.”

ABOUT US (11’)
Nova Gorica, Slovenia
Created & Performed by: Tjaša Bucik and Patricija Crnkovič
Music: August Adrian Braatz “Remix: Slovenski oktet”, Zabučale Gore &Tina Turner “Private Dancer”.
“ ‘About Us’ undoes female archetypes by delving into various facets of femininity. It examines archetypes dominating various stages of life, abstracting them onto the stage; representing an identity interspace— of fantasies, regrets, and societal pressures shaping femininity. The performance entangles narratives with the embodied intensity of touch, breath, and intimacy, sporadically disentangled by soloistic impulses of solitude, to be rescued by community of understanding, experience and humanity.”

PULSACIONES X MINUTO (15’)
Madrid, Spain
Created by: Javier Rodríguez [Los Que Faltaban / la compañía joven de 180]
Performed by: Ángel Bogar, Ana Paula González, Daniela Hernández, Gerard Jover, Asia Paiola
Music: Jeff Buckley «Kanga-Roo», «Lilac Wine»
“There are moments that set our hearts racing; we feel it pounding fiercely in our chest, sending out a powerful signal, shouting a message full of excitement that heightens all our senses and keeps us focused on the present. A furtive glance, a caress, a daring moment, a first time… Only to be returned once more to a routine present where we become ourselves again, yet we are no longer the same.”
