PROGRAMME

COMME UN SYMBOLE (10’)
Saint-Ouen, France
Created & Performed by> Alexandre Fandard
Original Music> Alexandre Fandard
“Alternately barbarian, scum, potential terrorist or eternal stranger, the ‘young man from the suburbs’ is often a male figure, despised, adulated, sacrificed or eroticized. The creations of Alexandre Fandard, visual and choreographic artist, never congeal in a single form and bring to the stage all these concrete archetypes. In this new solo research, he rehabilitates the young from the suburbs as a symbol”.

MIENTRAS EL FÉLIDO DUERME (11’15”)
Culiacan, Mexico
Created & Performed by> Danya Guadalupe González Cristerna
Music> Nicolas Jaar “Nothingness”, “Club Capital”, Vetusta Morla “Trastos Viejos”, Telefon Tel Aviv “Your face reminds me of when I was old”
Costumes> Guadalupe Cristerna
Lighting Design> Mario Edén Cázares
«While the felid sleeps is a corporeal narrative about a body that finds itself in a situation that makes it emit states that are unknown and take it out of control. All of this, outside the collective, in the privacy of her solitude. Without misgivings, I tell you that what you hear is a lie. Why? Because the discourse belies it. Appearances disappear, while the felid sleeps».

LEGAXY XX (12’)
Berlin, Germany
Created & Performed by> Breeanne Saxton
Music> Breeanne Saxton & legaxy xx
Costumes & Lighting Design > Breeanne Saxton
“legaxy xx is a multimedia dance theater work which unravels the implications of the inheritance of gender. The performance weaves through the collective reali-myth of the “heir to the throne” and the impact that these stories have on young femme identifying people. legaxy xx offers alternative realities of parenting, the torment of seeing yourself in your children, and the horror of burying a child. This work questions our collective legacy. Into what kind of violence are we birthing our babies? Reckon with the grotesqueness of child royalty. This is for the girls who were born to be kings”.

CONTINUUM (10’)
Artemisa, Cuba
Created by> Niosbel Osmar González Rubio
Performed by> Julio León Torres
Original Music> Joao del Monte «A los escondidos».
Costumes> Mariem Valdés Martínez
Lighting Design> Mariem Valdés Martínez
«I was inspired by the theme of death to talk about the importance of life. I think that the cleaner and calmer our conscience is, the more prepared we will be to receive death as a natural and inevitable process. Death is what gives meaning to life, we know about it because we are alive, here and now».
