Director of the Hong Kong Dance Exchange Festival

Daniel Yeung has a degree in Fine Arts from the Chinese University of Hong Kong and has a Master’s in Dance from The School for New Dance Development, The Theater School (Amsterdam, The Netherlands) and Laban Center, London University (London, United Kingdom).
Since 2011 he teaches Contemporary Dance, composition, improvisation, movement and the use of technology in dance at Hong Kong University, Hong Kong Baptist University and Hong Kong Academy of Performing Arts.
Throughout his professional life, he has received countless awards, among the most relevant: The Hong Kong Arts Development Council awarded him the «Best Artist of the Year» Award for his work as curator, choreographer, performer, teacher and dance critic and his Contribution to the development of dance in Hong Kong and the West Kowloon Cultural District Authority a three-year grant for researching the different models and programming of the most important festivals in Europe, South Korea and Japan, thus establishing their contacts with the most prestigious international dance festivals, both in 2013.
Since 2016 he has been the Director of the Hong Kong Dance Exchange Festival, from where he manages the resources and budgets of several dance productions and nine international performance programs.
Daniel is an independent curator, producer, artistic director and choreographer.
