\u201cDrawing inspiration from bygone eras, when movement was offered as a tribute to honour kings and queens, \u2018Obsequio\u2019 was conceived as a gift to delight the audience\u2014the performer\u2019s true royalty\u2014through the offering of a dance. The piece is rooted in the act of revealing oneself and in the shared experience of witnessing movement as a form of connection and dialogue.<\/p>\n

Through the whole body, especially through the arms and hands, the solo embraces the vulnerability inherent in the act of facing oneself, offering a journey of pure dance, the poetry of the body and music. \u2018Obsequio\u2019 becomes a necessary gesture of affirmation\u2014an invitation to embrace individuality, to reveal oneself and to enjoy the body fully and without reservation.\u201d<\/p>\n
