\u201cL’Effet M\u00e8re is a choreographic work in which Carmel Loanga explores memory, lineage, and identity. Through this solo, she pays tribute to Black women\u2014their struggles, their creative power, and their often unseen legacies.
\nThe piece emerges from a need for transmission: to tell the stories of mothers\u2014past, present, and future. It questions roots, exile, motherhood, and resilience through a language that intertwines body, voice, and imagery\u00bb.<\/p>\n
