Inspired by Buñuel and surrealism, director and choreographer Marcos Morau, along with the dancers, gradually shape their ideas. From chaos to incredible precision, they play and explore, select and name the movements in the choreography, creating the gestural vocabulary of Sonoma. Throughout the process, La Veronal faces various setbacks, and the dancers’ personal matters seep into the rehearsals, opening a window into the most intimate and everyday dimension of the creation of this acclaimed piece. This is documented in Sonoma (Le film, pas le spectacle) through video recordings, audio, and small fictional moments inspired by the very process of creation and rehearsal».

PROGRAMME

Showing dance through the eyes of cinema, offering documentaries and films outside the normal distribution circuits.
