Through the Training Programme, MASDANZA<\/strong> builds a resource to raise the artistic skills of Canarian dancers and choreographers, through the relationship with top level pedagogues and choreographers. The set of training actions has as an additional objective: the expansion of the professional opportunities of the artists.<\/p>\n

CONTEMPORARY DANCE WORKSHOP 2026<\/h3>\n
\n

In this edition, we are delighted to introduce Abi\u00e1n Hern\u00e1ndez Herrera,<\/strong> choreographer and performer of LA GRIETA<\/em>, as one of our guest teachers.<\/p>\n

He graduated in Early Childhood Education from the University of Las Palmas de Gran Canaria in 2014. He trained at the Natalia Medina Dance School, later becoming a member of its company. He is currently a member of C\u00eda. Daniel Abreu, performing in works such as DALET<\/em>, CANARII<\/em> and CAP\u00cdTULO<\/em>. He is also a dancer with OtraDanza in PROMETEO<\/em> and a member of C\u00eda. Daniel Rodr\u00edguez in TRANSE\u00daNTE<\/em>. Throughout his career, he has also participated in productions such as La Umbr\u00eda<\/em>, by Cyrano Producciones, and SOMNUS<\/em>, by C\u00eda. Daniel Morales.<\/p>\n

His international experience includes working with B\u2019cause Dance Company and Song of the Goat in Poland, as well as Keneish Dance Company in the United Kingdom. He has also collaborated with choreographers such as Adrian Look and David Evans on various projects.<\/p>\n

As a creator, he is the choreographer and performer of Savia<\/em>, a piece that was awarded second prize at the BIONIC Dance Festival. He is also the creator of ESPERA<\/em>, PREJUICIO<\/em>, Constelaci\u00f3n<\/em> and APEGO<\/em>, the latter three created in collaboration with Raquel Jara. Together with Sof\u00eda do Mar, he developed Keep an Eye on Your Belongings<\/em> and, more recently, DUAL<\/em> and BULLnerable<\/em> with Andrea P\u00e9rez. His latest work is ERIZO<\/em>.<\/p>\n

The training programme will take place from Monday 19 to Saturday 24 October, from 4:30 pm to 8:00 pm, at Teatro P\u00e9rez Gald\u00f3s.<\/strong><\/p>\n

As a new feature, the course will culminate in a public Work-in-Progress<\/strong> presentation on Saturday 24 October at 12:00 pm.<\/strong><\/p>\n

The course is completely free of charge.<\/p>\n
