20MASDANZA counts with an International Jury formed by prestigious personalities that come, primarily from dance, but also from the world of culture and the arts.

A Jury with experience in all fields of dance, dancers, choreographers, directors of festivals and artistic institutions, with the ability to value all the avant-garde proposals of the new choreographers of contemporary dance.

Francesc CasadesĂşs – President of the Jury is the Director of Mercat de les Flors in Barcelona, a scenic space specialized in dance and the arts of movement with a special interest in supporting all artists in all stages of creation, the attraction of new audiences and the link between dance and society. He is the President of EDN (European Dance Network), whose main aim is to promote and present contemporary dance and its creators through the borders, support professional growth, infrastructures and dance as a form of art using the experiences and strengths of each member.

Mr. Casadesús is the former Communications Director of MACBA (The Museum of Contemporary Art) in Barcelona, Manager of the Institute of Culture of Vic and producer of several shows. He holds a degree in Psychology and a Master’s Degree in Cultural Management, he started his career as an actor and dancer.

.In 2008, Mr. Casadesús received the National Culture Award granted by the Generalitat of Catalonia and in 2014 France’s Ministry of Culture named him “Chevalier des Arts et des Lettres”.

Hosik Yu is the Founder, Arts Director and Choreographer of Designare Movement and President and Arts Director of NDA International Festival.

He holds a degree in Modern Art by the University of Han Yang and in 2006 he was the winner of the National Rookie Dance Competition, which allowed him to reach his status as the Renowned Modern Choreographer of Korea.

He was also selected as the recipient of the 2009-2010 Young Art Frontier Award by Korea Arts and Culture Association, which further allowed him a fellowship to study abroad in the United States of America and a grant to support the foundation of Designare Movement and its first performance. In 2007, he received the Exceptional Performance Award from the National New Generation Choreography Competition, with his performance, “Closed”. In 2008 the Korean Dance Association presented him the Best Choreographer Award for his signature performance, “Heavy Circulation”.

He has also presented his works “Zebra Melody” and “I Owe You An Apology” in MODAFE, SCF ad Fukuoka Fringe Festival in Japan. He currently travels between Korea, Japan, Singapore, USA, and Europe and continues to show his works internationally.

Alioune Diagne is a choreographer and dancer who lives and works in Saint Louis, Senegal. He is the Founder and Artistic Director of Compagnie Diagn’Art and of Festival International Duo Solo Danse! that held the Third Regional Platform Danse L’Afrique Danse! in June 2015. Alioune has supervised the formation in contemporary dance of Salia Sanou and Seydou Boro (Burkina Faso), Kettly Noël (Mali), Germaine Acogny, Cire Beye and Hardo Ka (Senegal). After the creation of his two solos « Blabla » (2008) and « This Line Is My Path » (2009), he has had great success with his last creation « Banlieu » (2012). This piece for three dancers tells he story of the suburbs in Senegal and was performed more than 25 times in 16 different African and European countries in 2013. At the same time Alioune has performed the slo « Flora » by choreographer Kenzo Kusuda at the Korzo Theatre (The Hague, The Netherlands) and participated in « Fagaala » by Germaine Acogny. In December 2012, Compagnie Diagn’Art received the Awrd to Excelence presented by the Regional Council of Saint Louis for their contribution to the improvement of the cultural structire of teh Region of Saint Louis.
